PROJECT SUMMARY:
The new KaraKara Curl slide at Aquatica Orlando needed a roof. We fabricated and installed the roof including the 2-ply corrugated roof panels and flashing. We completed it on the ground an flew it on the main slide structure one night. We built it in the corner of the parking lot and lifted it over the trees on the road. After that we repositioned the crane for the final pick. We only used falsework steel to lift the steel up from underneath, so we did not have to repair any roof penetrations for our rigging afterwards.
